48 HILLS is laying the foundation for that future, starting with the next generation. Each summer, we bring together young filmmakers with top-level industry talent to make a single film.

Past mentors include Adam Newport-Berra (Emmy Award-winning cinematographer of The Bear, Euphoria, all things Kendrick Lamar), Emile Mosseri (Oscar-nominated composer for Minari), Liam Moore (production designer for Charli XCX, Megan Thee Stallion, Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish), Christina Oh (Oscar-nominated producer), and many more.

The camp is just the beginning. 48 HILLS is expanding into a broader institute—one designed to support ambitious filmmaking in San Francisco and create a real home for the next wave of artists.

Support at this stage allows us to operate at that level. It gives us the ability to bring in the right people, push the work further, and continue building something the city can actually sustain.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. Donations are made through our fiscal sponsor, Youth Leadership Incubator Inc. (EIN: 81-1543325), and are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Can I donate through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)?

Yes. DAF contributions can be directed through Slingshot in support of 48 Hills. Reach out and we can provide the necessary details.

Where does my donation go?

Your support allows us to operate at a high level, from the scale of each year’s film to the mentors we bring in and the long-term growth of 48 Hills as an institute in San Francisco. It also helps expand access for students who would not otherwise be able to participate.
