Internet meet Francisco.

On June 26th at 8:30 in the morning, there was an explosion in their house while everyone was at home, each in a different room. The father was taking a shower, the mother and the daughter were getting ready for school, and Francisco was in his room playing computer games during his vacation.

The cause of the explosion is still unknown. The house was completely destroyed, leaving nothing behind, not even walls.

The mother and the daughter died instantly because they were close to the explosion, and the house collapsed on them. The father was conscious and called for help, which arrived quickly. Francisco was also conscious but trapped under a fallen pillar and couldn't get out until rescuers heard his screams.

The father suffered severe burns, covering 85% of his body, and died in the hospital in Coimbra five days later on July 1st. He never learned about the deaths of his wife and daughter. Francisco was in a coma for a week and a half but has since returned home as of this Wednesday. His aunt is now taking care of him, and they have already applied for guardianship.

Francisco is using a walker and has several burns on his arms, hands, and abdomen. He is trying to return to school.

He has lost everything—his home, possessions, and family. In terms of clothing, they have received donations, but they still need medication, therapies, treatments, and help with expenses.

Only the uncle is working, while the aunt is a homemaker. They were not expecting these additional expenses.
